All submitted manuscripts are subject to a double-blind review process, through an online system. The review process focus is the novelty of the manuscripts and their contributions to accounting and business development.
Peer Review Process
- Submission and Initial Screening The corresponding author submits the manuscript through the ICSEMA 2026 online submission system. All submissions must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Upon submission, the ICSEMA Editorial Board performs an initial triage to ensure the paper aligns with the conference scope, follows the Author Guidelines, and meets the ethical standards. A mandatory plagiarism check is conducted via Turnitin with a maximum 30% similarity index.
- Assignment of Editors Papers that pass the initial screening are assigned to a Guest Editor or a member of the Scientific Committee with expertise in the specific domain. The editor then invites at least two (2) independent reviewers for a Double-Blind Peer Review.
- Double-Blind Review To ensure objectivity, the identities of both the authors and the reviewers are kept confidential. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on its novelty, methodological rigor, and contribution to the fields of sustainable economics, management, or accounting.
- Review Outcomes and Decisions Referees must provide clear statements regarding their recommendation:
- Accept: No changes needed.
- Minor Revision: Small adjustments required.
- Major Revision: Significant improvements in methodology or analysis needed.
- Reject: The paper is not suitable for publication.
- Revision and Final Decision For papers requiring revisions, authors must provide a “Response to Reviewers” document along with their corrected manuscript. The Handling Editor reviews the changes to ensure all comments have been addressed. If there is a significant disagreement between reviewers, a third reviewer may be invited to provide a final opinion.
- Final Approval Once the paper meets all quality standards, the Chief Editor/Scientific Chair grants final approval for the manuscript to be included in the ICSEMA 2026 Proceedings.
